The successful candidate will be proactive and energetic, have a solid understanding of the Insurance industry, will cultivate, and maintain relationships with clients, producers, insurance company management and underwriting teams.
Job Purpose:
To facilitate the prompt placement of insurance contracts in accordance with the client’s requirements and needs, in a timely manner, all in accordance with regulatory requirements and always acting in the best interest of the client.
Job Responsibilities:
· Provide Support to the Senior Professional Brokers (AVP, VP, SVP and Senior Management) in the establishment of programs
· Lead or supporting placement assistance/service on all programs.
· Preparation of deals, decks and collation and remitting of submission materials.
· Populate all required and necessary databases.
· Engage and establish industry relationships both internally and externally (clients, carriers, prospects, placement, etc.).
· Assist in development of RFP responses and prospecting opportunities.
· Assist in creating management information statistics
· Coordinate and administer systems and processes
· Daily communication with brokers (locally and overseas) and underwriters
· Develop skills and expertise to place/manage large complex placements and assist team in highlighting the features and benefits in the innovation of new products and services.
· Ensure accuracy of all documentation
· Other adhoc as requested by Senior leadership
· Support with production of new business. Willingness for travel.
Required Experience:
· 5+ years’ experience in the Insurance /brokerage industry or underwriting with a solid understanding of the Bermuda Market.
· A clear and capable communicator
· Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
· Proficient in the preparation and delivery of presentations for new business and client service meetings. Possess a thorough knowledge of their individual program, the Bermuda, US, European and London marketplace, local regulatory environment, program structure alternatives, and coverage terms, conditions and forms.
· Ability to work in a high pressure fast paced environment whilst ensuring accuracy and paying attention to details
· Motivated self-starter while being an effective team player with the ability to use own initiative and ability to manage changing priorities
· Strong written and communication skills are necessary to communicate in a professional manner with clients and the marketplace.
· A strong team player who understands the roles and responsibilities of their colleagues and senior management, assumes responsibility for the timely delivery of a professional work product in accordance with assigned roles, and facilitates communication among team members.
· Promote creativity in presenting new ideas and approaches for clients or prospects; promote a positive attitude in always trying to improve a program.
· The ability to work beyond normal business hours as required
