Manager says:
The Advisory Analyst supports the Head of Advisory and other Analytics team leads and brokers by performing research, data and financial analysis; creating presentations, models, reports, and other documents and tools; and assisting with the development and execution of consulting projects and transactions with (re)insurance carriers, distributors, and capacity / capital providers. Consulting projects and transactions involve insurable risk transfer including traditional reinsurance treaty, securitization, and index-based contracts; buy-side M&A advisory and transaction due diligence; insurance solvency and financial strength ratings advisory; and related work.
The Analyst will join a collaborative, creative, and dynamic team that encourages continuous learning and growth. There will be ample opportunities for hands-on learning and skill development in risk modelling, actuarial and data science, and financial analysis.
Main responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Work collaboratively and transparently with colleagues and clients to coordinate, track, and progress transactions and consulting project delivery
- Support brokers and the Head of Advisory in business development activities
- Develop and deploy practical working knowledge of insurance markets, products, and players
- Contribute to the development, design and implementation of products and services
Experience and Education Requirements:
- University degree or equivalent full time work experience of at least five years
- Background in data science, economics, accounting, or finance preferred
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to the detail, design, and presentation of analytic work products
- Capacity and desire to expand responsibilities with experience
- Strong project management skills
- Responsive to changing priorities and multiple deadlines
Technical:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Experience with Bloomberg and other tools is a plus
